The Senior Communications Specialist will report to the Senior Brand Marketing Manager and is responsible for executing the PR and social media strategies, ensuring brand consistency, and maximizing exposure. In this new role, you will be a key stakeholder in building awareness and amplifying the Clutch brand.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Prepare briefing documents for executive team members ahead of media interviews.
- Secure earned media coverage for Clutch in tier-1, local, and industry publications.
- Tailor messaging to attract key audiences, including service providers, buyers, and candidates.
- Support employer branding by identifying workplace award opportunities and creative ways to promote Clutch’s mission and values.
- Draft messages and monitor social media channels, primarily Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Collaborate with the design team to create fresh visuals that increase social media engagement.
- Track and report on the performance of PR and social media activity in support of business objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in communications or public relations in an agency or fast-paced corporate environment.
- Thrives in a fast-paced culture of change and innovation; able to think on your feet and pivot quickly.
- In-depth knowledge of what is “newsworthy” and the ability to leverage data to create unique storylines.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in team settings.
- Experience leading and executing marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness.
- Understanding of social media’s impact on media relations.
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with strong organizational skills.
- Experience pitching B2B companies preferred.
- Familiar with crafting relevant, personalized pitches with the support of PR software such as Meltwater, Muck Rack, Buzzstream, etc., preferred.
- Proficient in tracking web traffic and analytics through Google Analytics and Data Studio reports are ideal.
- Experience with social media monitoring software such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.; experience with Figma and Canva preferred.
- Existing relationships with tier-1 journalists and influencers are ideal.
