What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bike Park Rangers 16+ position at CM Resort, LLC?
SUMMARY: To maintain all trails in an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests and to help educate riders in Bike Part etiquette. Park Staff are utilized in all facets of mountain operations, including riding and inspecting trails, trail and trail signage maintenance, event coordination and staffing, and handy-work. In addition, Park Staff are one of the primary ambassadors of the mountain, and applicants should have strong customer service skills and strive in a team-centered environment. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Open lifts and trails prior to public access to assure their safe and proper conditions.
- Morning mountain set-up and evening sweep.
- Make sure that all trail and warning signs are in good order and properly placed.
- Make sure that all trail markings including signs, fences and ribbon are in good condition and properly placed.
- Patrolling park throughout the day educating guests on the riding etiquette and maintaining trails.
- Make sure that trail conditions are monitored and accurately reported.
- Make sure that all trail hazards are properly marked.
- Incident reporting as well as aiding bike patrol including, but not limited to closing trail/features or park until the scene is clear.
- Observe and correct, or properly mark if necessary, any trail conditions adversely affected by traffic, weather, or other manmade or natural occurrences.
- Work with other departments to accomplish objectives.
- Maintain awareness of changing weather conditions.
- Provide superior service to our customers, both internal and external, and respond to all guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Flexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required.
