Position Summary:
Central responsibility as the data architect will be to develop, optimize, and oversee our company’s conceptual and logical data systems. Your duties may include preparing architect reports, monitoring the system, and supervising system migrations. To succeed in this role, you should know how to build complex computer database systems that are accessible, useful, and secure. A Data Architect helps define the end use of the database, and then creates a blueprint for developing, testing, and maintaining the database. You should know how to examine new data system requirements and implement migration models. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. The candidate would also maintain timelines and roadmaps, draft communications related to the project and identify project risks.
This position will be responsible to :
Work with Business users and Digital PM in collecting business requirements and expected benefits;
Research and properly evaluate sources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability
Apply sampling techniques to effectively determine and define ideal categories to be questioned
Compare and analyze provided statistical information to identify patterns, relationships and problems
Define and utilize statistical methods to solve industry-specific problems in varying fields, such as economics and engineering
Prepare detailed reports for management and other departments by analyzing and interpreting data
Train assistants and other members of the team how to properly organize findings and read data collected
Design computer code using various languages to improve and update software and applications
Refer to previous instances and findings to determine the ideal method for gathering data
Identifying installation solutions for new databases
Determining the requirements for a new database
Publishing and/or presenting design reports
Identifying areas for improvement in current systems
Coordinating with other team members to reach project milestones and deadlines
Auditing database regularly to maintain quality
Creating systems to keep data secure
Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.
Skill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Data Architect or 10 years’ experience as a Data Engineer.
Experience as a Database Administrator or Data Manager is a plus.
Experience in development or programming is also valuable.
Strong math and analytical skills are essential to complete job requirements successfully
Able to compile and organize statistical information retrieved and present findings to management
Experience working with private and sensitive information
Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed
Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software
Interpersonal and customer service skills are required when meeting with and interviewing potential clients
Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies
Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously
