What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Equipment position at CMACGM?

Position Summary:
The supervisor is responsible for overseeing the team and ensuring coverage for all aspects of operation. They keep track of the team’s performance and keep them up to task on KPI metrics. Daily functions include troubleshooting of elevated issues regarding dry equipment, fielding sales and trade requests, and evacuation and stock feeding of equipment. The supervisor is also responsible for compiling data to be presented to Senior Management and HO to report progress and performance. When the manager is out of the office, the supervisor will undertake their duties unless situation calls for senior decision making. The supervisor will also assist and develop new processes to streamline work as well as cost savings initiatives throughout the year. Additionally, the supervisor will be responsible for developing employees and providing them with training opportunities and projects to increase knowledge base and skill sets.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
Provide elevated assistance for issues pertaining to dry equipment operations, invoices, intermodal, trade, HO logistics, etc. Resolve operational issues to avoid service failures. Provide guidance and oversight in line with company directives
Monitor and reduce idling equipment through the US (whether good order, damaged, etc). Coordinate directly with M&R to ensure that damaged units are utilized accordingly
Monitor dry equipment operations including utilization, dwell times, empty repositioning, and storage. Work with port and inland depot managers to ensure coverage of CMA business needs
Measure and report key performance metrics for the team to ensure they are in line with company goals. Conduct performance reviews and take necessary actions to correct deficiencies. Develop and maintain performance reporting to be used for senior management review
Assist with Vessel Load Back and Empty Evacuation in conjunction with Manager, M&R, Port Ops, Cargo Flow and HO instructions.
Supervising the off-hire/on-hire program to terminate/ on-hire the maximum amount of container to meet ideal stock and coordinate the Swap Program in Conjunction with Manager, Trade and HO instructions
Backup equipment Coordinators and Senior Coordinators as needed. Assist to refine forecasting tools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
