Job Description: The Chief Maintenance Engineer is responsible for managing all maintenance staff, while directing, coordinating, and performing routine preventative maintenance and repairs to the hotel.
Essential Job Functions include but not limited to:
- Responsible for the supervision, training, and coaching of the maintenance technicians
- Trouble shoot and repair of electrical/mechanical systems to include HVAC & Plumbing
- Conduct ongoing preventative maintenance program for all guest rooms and public spaces
- Daily inspections of property to identify potential and current needs
- Responsible for managing and controlling monthly maintenance budget expenses
- Coordinate with local health, fire and building inspectors to ensure compliance with codes and regulations
- Service Hotels outdoor pool ensuring daily testing is completed and chemicals are within the standard
- Review, prioritize and complete daily work orders and maintenance logs
- Use proper execution of our lock out/tag out program
Job Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Experience installing and troubleshooting electrical switches, operating boilers and HVAC units, also to include drywall repair, plumbing repairs, etc.
- CPO and CFC certified
- Reliable transportation and a clear background check a must
- Previous Hotel/Apartment/Strip mall, Maintenance experience a must
- 4 years Hotel Maintenance experience with a minimum 2 years experience in full service
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory skills
- Operate traditional software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and/or Outlook Express.
