What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bariatric Coordinator position at CMH Regional Health System?
This position is responsible for developing and coordinating activities and providing administrative support to the Bariatrics Department by performing a wide range of complex administrative duties using organizational ability to ensure smooth operation. Must demonstrate ability to communicate with staff and physicians and their office staff as well as patient and/or family members.

- MA/LPN/RN or Dietician certification/license preferred
- Bariatric Clinical Experience preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a receptionist; screens and refers all incoming phone calls to ensure that accurate and timely communications are presented in a positive manner.
- Understand and will work to obtain Center of Excellence requirements.
- Performs insurance verification and approval process for bariatric candidates.
- Starts, participates and organizes Bariatric Seminars, Open Houses and Support Groups.
- Produces departmental correspondence and other materials as assigned.
- Maintain Bariatric Patient Surveys.
- Monitor and maintain online Support Group Board.
- Prepare and distribute bariatric patient discharge packets.
- Prepare patient letters after Nutrition and Psychological evaluations for return to work.
- Help patients in locating physician. Assist patient in identifying all physicians for specific payors.
- Schedule bariatric patients’ physician consultations.
- Quote case pay price to physician offices and patients.
- Develops and maintains department filing system.
- Assists with marketing efforts as assigned.
Salary : $54,200 - $68,600
