Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Program Director of Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS), will supervise and give direction to assigned operations of one or more work units. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing administrative, clinical leadership and supervision to assigned units, program development and planning, budget development and oversight, grant writing and management, formulating of guidelines, policies and procedures, staff and program evaluation, matrix functions as well as special assignments and projects.  Will also be required to participate in and lead internal, community, PIHP Network, and/or MDHHS committees, workgroups, and other projects as assigned. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements: Possession of a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college/university is required.  Possession of valid State of Michigan credential/licensure (e.g., LMSW, LPC, LLP) required. A minimum of four years of progressively more responsible clinical experience working with persons with serious and persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders required. One year of work experience in a lead position or progressively more responsible position required.  Demonstrated leadership and good judgment skills required. Demonstrated experience to implement evidenced-based practices and other promising practices required. Familiarity with computers required.  Must be able to accurately and effectively communicate in verbal and written form.  Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation for job related duties required.

Conditional Employment Requirements: Offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must pass a pre-employment 5-panel drug screen.

Salary/Hours: Starting salary $77,165 - $87,494 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $108,162 per year. 40 hours per week. Non-traditional work hours may be required for internal agency and external community functions. This position has an anticipated start date of June 3, 2024

Location: Adult Mental Health Services; Lansing, Michigan.
