We are searching for an Senior-level Staff Accountant to play a key role within our Accounting department at Corporate Mechanical of New England!
Essential Duties:
- Perform accounts payable/receivable functions under the direction of the Controller
- Serve as liaison between accounting division and project managers to ensure invoice integrity
- Enter invoices into accounting software (Sage paperless)
- Manage lien waivers for subcontractors and general contractors
- Reconcile subcontract and vendor invoices with committed costs
- Manage insurance requirements for all subcontractors
- Set up new jobs and contracts in accounting software
- Assist with monthly AIA billings
- Assist with other administrative and accounting duties as needed
- Payroll Support
Qualifications:
- Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, vendors, and subcontractors
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting administration preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using Timberline project financial software or similar software a plus
