Machine Operator

CMP Global Inc., a producer of the highest quality sacrificial anodes for the marine industry is seeking a Machine Operator (Mixed Metal Operator) to join the team. The Machine Operator reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for working processes in production and will also perform a variety of routine safety, production and housekeeping tasks. Production tasks include but not limited to pouring anodes, making inserts and maintaining accurate transactions in the ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment as assigned and maintain production equipment
• Operate small machinery, iron maker and press
• Pour zinc and aluminum in open face molds to create sacrificial anodes
• Read and interpret drawings for production
• Measure components and finished goods, stock raw materials and molds on shelves, perform cycle counts
• Receive, put away, pick, pack, ship and inventory merchandise in a safe, productive and accurate manner
• Familiar with bar code labels and scanners
• Re-label product per customer’s requirements
• Track labor and materials using ERP system
• Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements and follow all Standard Operating Procedures and safety/security guidance
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Cross-train in multiple areas
• Perform other related duties, special projects or assignments as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year machine Operation experience (power tool, press machine, iron maker, band saw and furnaces in a foundry)
• Must be willing to be trained to operate powered equipment as assigned
• Able to follow all Standard Operating Procedures and safety/security guidance
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a hot environment
• Comfortable completing repetitive functions like walking, bending, reaching, stooping, twisting and lifting
• Working knowledge of computer programs like ERPs e.g. (visual – asset/nice to have)
• Licensed to operate powered equipment (Nice to have/ asset)
• Detail oriented, organized, team player, focused, remain on task and can prioritize in a fast paced changing work environment
• Able to communicate effectively with team members and customers in a positive manner
• Possess a can-do attitude and flexible in work schedule to accommodate customer demands
• Reliable transportation

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift - 6am-2:30pm
