Department: Maintenance

Position Summary: Ski Trail Maintenance Worker

Job Relationships:

  • Responsible To: Guests, General Manager, and Maintenance Director
  • Employees Supervised: None
  • Inter-Relationships: Work closely with General Manager and Maintenance Manager to complete assigned brush cutting tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily brush cutting of the mountain
  • Monitor the function of brush cutting vehicles and equipment
  • Keep brush cutting vehicles clean
  • Responsible for daily maintenance of brush cutting equipment and tractor
  • Participate as directed in general labor, light repair, and other construction assignments
  • Additional duties may be assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience: Familiarity with the characteristics of the brush cutting equipment and operating on a slope.
  • Other Requirements: Relate in a positive manner to co-workers and guests. Must possess good communication and teamwork skills.

Environmental Factors:

  • Frequent lifting of items weighing 30 Lbs. or more
  • Occasional lifting of items weighing 45-90 Lbs.
  • Exposure to hot temperatures while performing duties
  • Exposure to possible hazards associated with machinery and moving equipment
  • Frequent walking on uneven and steep terrain.
  • Sitting, Standing, Squatting for extended periods of time
  • Exposure to dusty conditions
