We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Dietitian / Head Dietitian to lead our nutrition department in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of dietitians, managing kitchen operations, attending meetings, handling reports and documentation, and providing expert nutritional care to residents. The successful candidate will have experience in SNF management and a strong background in nutrition services.

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification
- Knowledge of human physiology and its relationship to nutrition
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients towards healthy eating habits
- Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized meal plans
- Familiarity with health coaching techniques to support behavior change
- Experience with tube feeding and other specialized nutritional interventions is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems for documentation purposes

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Educational Background:

• Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification and state licensure.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a dietitian, with significant experience in SNF management.
• Proven leadership experience, including the supervision of dietitians and collaboration with kitchen staff.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in report management and documentation.
• In-depth knowledge of nutrition science and its application in SNF settings.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Understanding of and experience with regulatory requirements specific to SNFs.
• Familiarity with MDS and other documentation processes.
