This position serves as a vital and integral part in an individual's pathway to recovery from substance use disorder. By connecting at a pivotal point in someone's life, the Certified Recovery Specialist/Certified Family Recovery Specialist uses their lived experience in recovery to engage, share resources , provide essential screenings and brief interventions while an individual is in the emergency departments located in the counties of Columbia, Snyder Union and Northumberland counties. The successful candidate will have a HS diploma or equivalent, be a certified CRS and/or CFRS through the Pennsylvania Certification Board, possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle, produce required background checks and be active in their own recovery for at least two years prior to hiring. On the job training and supervision are provided. Paid staff development opportunities are provided.
