ANTICIPATED START DATE FOR ASSIGNMENT
- August 7, 2023, to December 22, 2023 (4.5 months)
Hours
20 hours per week (Work hours are to be determined)
This is a remote position.
Duties
- Follow federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs eligibility, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Evaluate application and award financial aid to students.
- Provide leadership for a specific financial aid process and/or program.
- Exercise independent judgement, comparing and evaluating courses of actions and making decision after the possibilities are being considered.
- Determines students' eligibility for the various financial aid programs by evaluating their applications.
- Promotes a positive image of the Financial Aid Office by making group presentations which explain both the various financial aid programs and associated application processes.
Skills
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in higher education or similar environment
- Must be comfortable speaking to large groups of students and parents.
- Must have strong organization and time management skills.
- Must be dedicated to providing consistent, high-quality customer service.
- Demonstrate skills in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary : $40,600 - $51,400
