What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neurology Advance Practice Practitioner position at CNOS, PC?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation, and health education of neurological disorders and related conditions.
- Obtain patient histories and develop patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Provides health education to families, and/or community health practitioners and groups, within area of specialty.
- Supervise and/or coordinate the activities of patient care and/or support staff.
- Prescribe or adjust medications.
- Work in close collaboration with our team of neurologists
- We plan to train the right candidate in our brand of Neurology so neuro experience is not essential.
Position Qualifications:
- Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Iowa, Nebraska and/or South Dakota.
- Must have excellent communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate clearly, written and oral, to patients, insurance companies, pharmacies, physicians, and staff
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, be patient focused, and must work well with team members.
- We are looking for a good clinician who is a fast learner with a strong work ethic and a desire to treat patients ethically and compassionately.
- Must also have a high level of comfort and become competent in working with computer systems.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $124,000.00 per year
