A CNS Audit Specialist is responsible for oversight & support on FMCSA Investigations and a liaison to clients for CNS Services.
PrimaryResponsibilitiesandDuties
Support and oversight with regards to FMCSA Investigations and processes including:
Preparing clients for ongoing FMCSA investigations until completion
Conducting mock FMCSA audits to mirror FMCSA Investigations adhering to CNS’ standard operating procedures
Develop tools, policies and procedures for clients to comply with FMCSA regulations and best risk management practices
Working with CNS clients with regards to submitting Safety Rating Upgrade Requests
Writing Corrective Action Plans that follow CNS standard operating procedures
Collecting and reviewing supporting evidence and documentation that pertains to each client’s deficiencies
Working with FMCSA Reviewers directly to ensure CNS clients cases are being reviewed accurately
Managing a working case load effectively
Provide thorough training on FMCSA Regulations to management, employees and drivers.
Be able to conduct both online & in-person meetings and presentations to train clients in requirements and best practices for operating a safe and compliant fleet.
Conduct Risk Management Inspections for both CNS Insurance and Insurance Carriers that meet CNS standard operating procedures
Provide direct insight to clients on weaknesses and areas of opportunity and where CNS may be able to assist
Travel, may be, and is often necessary to meet CNS/client expectations. Estimated travel could be as much as 40% of total hours each month.

Case work related to other clients’ DOT Compliance needs
Project work both with teams and individually on a case-by-case basis
Skills/Competencies
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced office environment
Proficient in industry standard technologies (ELD’s, Driver Qualification Files, Fleet Maintenance, Dash Cams)
Ability to present and speak in public as needed
Proficient in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting platforms
Ability to display servant leadership
High level of organization
Positive communication skills internally with staff, and externally with clients verbally and in writing (phone, email)
Ability to speak confidently & professionally around clients both in person and remotely
