THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a talented Data Developer (SSIS/ADF) to serve as a technology data developer. The Data Developer works independently and plays a role on key strategic projects as related to data infrastructure, reporting, data triage, master data management, and other related data initiatives.
WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:
- Serves as a developer on strategic and enterprise level data driven projects, collaborates with other areas of technology as well as business units.
- Follows and advises on industry standards and advances on data driven technologies and tools.
- Designs, implements, and updates best practices for the data development team.
- Creates enterprise level end-to-end data flow diagrams and logical data models.
- Develops and reviews complex SSIS and Azure Data Factory pipelines for various reporting and data development projects.
- SQL, T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, SSIS workflows development is required.
- Creates and maintains documentation related to data development best practices, enterprise level data flow diagrams, and project code promotion.
- Provides recommendations to technology tools, products and services in order to help keep our environment on the cutting edge of technology.
- Develops and designs solutions with security as a critical design requirement for data, systems and applications.
- Adheres to development processes and standards including code management.
- Adhere to Agile principles and philosophies (Scrum or Kanban, as applicable) in fulfillment of the role.
- Collaborate within the direct team in accordance with Team Agreement, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.
- Work as a cross-functional team member in an Agile setting to help complete and deliver the team commitments.
- Collaborate across teams and across business areas in the spirit of an Agile mindset.
- Fulfill the role in the spirit of the Agile Manifesto, with emphasis on delivery of incremental value with frequent iterations and feedback loops.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Best practices for data development within a PCI environment.
- Ability to analyze enterprise level data sources and determine relationships between disparate sources.
- Determine methodologies for integration with third-party data sets.
- Expertise in data warehousing and data modeling methodologies, tools and best practices.
- Agile methodologies.
- Expert knowledge of SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
- Snowflake development experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts to simple and easier terms for business leaders and users of data.
- Ability to review existing processes and identify logic problems to address.
- Ability to formulate a plan that aligns and supports to delivery timelines.
- Ability to lead large data driven enterprise projects.
- Ability to coach, mentor and lead others.
- Ability to identify, recommend and set best practices for the data developer role.
- Must be detail focused.
- Must possess strong communication skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- College degree in CIS, Data Management, Data Analytics, or similar, or equivalent training and/or experience.
- 5-10 years’ experience working in a data function or equivalent position where primary responsibility is working with data, database design and data development is the primary responsibility.

For California, Colorado and New York Applicants: In accordance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is between:
$98,000.00 - $124,000.00Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
