Co-op Supply is looking for a Cashier to join our team! We are looking to fill a full-time position for our Arlington Store. The successful person in this position will be self-motivated, proactive, energetic, and willing to support all members of our team at Co-op Supply
JOB DESCRIPTION
A cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service and actively participates in a team environment to accomplish daily tasks in store operations. This position will be instrumental in providing quality customer service to our patrons and everyone who walks through the door. They are expected to be friendly, knowledgeable, and have excellent communication skills, and help achieve the cooperative's mission and goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Accurately operate the cash register
- Perform basic retail sales, including upselling products
- Assist clients with specialized farm and feed knowledge
- Restock shelves daily and rotate product as directed
- Keep the store clean and tidy
- Receive & answer multiple phone calls per day
- Provide customers with assistance pumping propane
- Occasionally operating a forklift as needed
- Performs other duties as directed by management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have the ability to work a flexible work schedule Monday thru Sunday
- Have excellent time management and organizational skills
- Have excellent communication skills
- Farm experience/knowledge is preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Continually required to walk, stand, and lift
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
- Ability to lift 50lbs regularly and more at times
Reports to Retail Store Manager
