Job Posting for Registered Alcohol & Drug Technician (RADT) - Multiple Shifts at Coachella Valley Recovery Center
The Role:
The Registered Alcohol & Drug Technician (RADT) supports the mission of Coachella Valley Recovery Center (CVRC) by assisting clients in learning and regaining control over their own lives and their own recovery process. The RADT helps to provide a safe, supportive, and caring environment to promote well-being, encouragement, and safety to assist clients continue their recovery. The RADT is responsible for the provision of client substance abuse recovery treatment including, case coordination, direct case management and advocacy, outreach and training, and general social services support.
Looking to hire personnel, both full-time and part-time RADTs for covering the following shifts currently available:
Day - 7a-4:30p - Sun-Friday
NOC/Graveyard/Night - 11p-7:30a - Sun-Tuesday
Key Duties:
Provide a healthy, safe, comfortable, and clean residence for clients during their treatment with CVRC
Assisting with oversight of clients' daily schedules, and ensuring they are within Program Rules, policies and procedures, and Federal and State regulations
Monitor and report accordingly to ensure client activities are done in a safe and orderly manner
Refer clients to his therapist/counselor for psychological/emotional issues
Transportation of CVRC clients to offsite recovery activities, as needed
Monitoring and maintaining the condition of the facility and facility vehicles, reporting any deficits to the Lead RADT or Program Director
Monitoring, maintaining and complying with health and safety policies, procedures, and incident handling, including completing associated documentation in a timely manner
Cooperation and close communication with CVRC management and clinical staff
The Requirements:
Knowledge and experience with 12-Step recovery programs, the treatment process, along with the problems and issues associated with substance abuse and related disorders.
Minimum of six (6) months of work experience specifically in the field of chemical dependency, substance abuse, psychiatric care and/or social service.
Holds a valid CCAPP credential, minimum of Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT-I)
Registration with State of California Board of Behavioral Health as a registered associate with number
Strong writing (clinical and non-clinical), oral communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to handle confidential, sensitive and/or stressful situations while not taking things personal
Belief in an expansive view of job responsibilities being what is needed and not being limited to bullet points on paper
Good technology skills and experienced documenting care within an electronic health record system (EHR), preferably Kipu
Valid California Driver's License (with minimum of five (5) years driving experience) and a driving record which is acceptable and insurable (typically <2 points) by CVRC's insurance carrier

Hiring will be contingent upon clearance of a TB test, drug screen and pre-employment physical. Current First Aid and CPR certification will also be required (or willing to obtain). Current vaccinations will be required, only exceptions required by law (e.g., medical, religious) will be considered.
