JOB DESCRIPTION: Field Survey Technician
Coast 2 Coast Field Survey Technicians document and compile comprehensive site survey data for nationwide as-built architectural projects. This unique travel-centric opportunity allows you to spend multiple weeks at a location, then enjoy time off at home before your next project(s). Responsibilities include scope-of-work execution, proactive collaboration, quality assurance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Capture Architectural Data on Location:
- Travel across the country taking photos, 2D and 3D measurements of various hotels, retail sites, and facilities
- Document property conditions in 2D, and 3D floor plans and elevations using AutoCAD, and Revit
- Read and understand project documents, scope-of-work execution, proactive collaboration, quality assurance
- Collaborate with the processing team to ensure scope alignment and project quality
- Provide updates and communicate with project managers and survey teams during the project lifecycle
Construct Project Deliverables:
- Support clients as they remodel or acquire new properties by capturing existing site conditions in alignment with client guidelines and scope of work
- Assemble well-crafted survey reports using excellent measurement, photography, and AutoCAD skills
- Responsibly use a variety of measurement tools, 3D terrestrial laser scanners, laptops, cameras, as well as smartphones and iPads
- Demonstrate proven experience using collaboration platforms, apps, and various software
- Assist with a wide variety of projects by adapting to new scopes, standards, and software. Participate in the Coast 2 Coast learning culture by obtaining skills offered through mentorship and online courses
REQUIREMENTS
- Each applicant must have experience in at least one of the following, AutoCAD, Revit, Lidar Scanning, 360 Photography, and Drone Aviation
- Must possess strong verbal/written communication skills, the ability to produce work independently, and effectively coordinate with team members
- Proactive and organized, the candidate effectively manages multiple concurrent projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines (including taking advantage of overtime opportunities)
- With a valid driver's license and live in the vicinity of a major airport to facilitate travel
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening, as well as random screening during employment
