What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant position at Coastal Comprehensive Care?
Medical Assistant needed. Local Private Practice. Part time or full time hours. Part Time Hours would be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8 am to 6:30 pm. If you would prefer to work full time then hours would be Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 6:30 pm. Practice is closed on Fridays, so extra long weekend. No Nights, No Weekend. Communication skills and general knowledge medical practices required. Full benefits available after 90 days
- Referral Specialist
- Pain Managment Knowledge
- Addressing patient needs
- Creating telephone encounters/actions and routing them to the appropriate person
- Processing prior authorization requests for medications
- Processing prior authorization requests for procedures
- Covering for nurses as needed with obtaining patient vitals, medication count, recording HPI.
Applicant needs to have experience in a medical setting, knowledge of medications and knowledge of the prior authorization process. Looking for someone who can multitask and move in a fast paced enviornment.
Salary: $15.00 - $17.00/hour depending on experience.
This position will on occasion complete other duties as assigned beyond those designated in this primary job description.
