Dive Supervisor

Coastal Engineering is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) with a staff of professional engineers and certified commercial divers, providing marine engineering, repair, and underwater inspection services. Coastal is seeking a Senior Diver to join our team in Greenwood Lake, NY. This is a great opportunity for a motivated self-starter to join a rapidly growing engineering consulting firm.

We are seeking a dive supervisor with at least 5 years of experience. Work will be conducted in both field and office settings, and some regional travel is to be expected. This position will combine team management, safety management, underwater inspection and construction.

Job Duties:

· Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish a clear scope of work, logistics, and mode of operations.

· Manage dive team and responsible for the safety of each member.

· Ensure understanding and compliance with OSHA, EM-385, and ADCI regulations.

· Maintain daily reports.

· Lead and perform underwater inspections and repair projects.

· Assist with preparation of inspection reports.

· Communicate with Project Managers, some communication with clients/stakeholders.

Required Skills / Certifications:

· 5 years of experience.

· Dive Diploma from an ADCI accredited diving educational institution.

· Current dive physical.

· Current ADCI Dive Supervisor certification.

· Current driver’s license.

· OSHA 10- or 30-hour certificate.

· Oxygen Provider, First Aid, CPR, & AED.

· Reliable transportation to/from Greenwood Lake, NY or willingness to relocate.

· Proficient with AutoCAD a plus.

· Boat License.

· NHI Underwater Bridge Inspection Course a plus.

· Confined space / fall arrest certification.

· Ability to obtain or currently hold a valid TWIC card.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
