Job Description: We are currently searching for a self-motivated property manager for our 26 properties, from Lake County to Solano County, including Sonoma and Napa. Our properties are homes to H-2A farmworkers. You’ll oversee the maintenance and upkeep of residential properties, including set-up work orders for repairs, and following through inspections to verify work has been completed. You will interact with the tenants (H-2A Employees), ascertaining they are familiar with the use of appliances in the home, and review the house rules.
Additional Duties: As our property manager your role will begin by preparing our properties for our seasonal H-2A Workers. You’ll make sure each home has all the necessary items. You will also be responsible for transporting the workers to obtain their social security cards and when an illness or accident occurs, making doctors’ appointments and any follow-ups, along with initial report of illness or accident for workers comp. You would also be the point of contact between the workers and the main office in Napa and Oxnard. The role also includes the more conventional property manager duties such as: insuring all properties have a landscaper, exterior is kept neat and replacing batteries in fire alarms. All properties undergo 2 State of California in-person inspections. The property manager must be able to communicate with both these agencies and respond to their questions. Because the property manager is the point of contact between the workers and the main offices, they could be asked to retrieve signatures or information on behalf of the main offices.
Schedule: Day Schedule. Monday through Friday. Work will be conducted in the office, and on-site property inspections, including emergency calls after hours and on weekends.
Requirements: Driver’s license, bilingual, knowledge of computer programs, etc. Word, Excel, scanning, printing. High School Diploma or GED
Experience: • Able to collaborate with your team. • Committed to continuous learning to maintain up-to-date knowledge of rules, laws & regulations. • Excellent communication and organization skills. • Ability to fill out simple paperwork.
