Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains Daily Cash Log of Cash Receipts.
- Reconciles and reclass Cash Receipts.
- Assists with preparing monthly closing journal entries and posts them to the general ledger in the Financial Accounting System.
- Reconciles monthly Accounts Receivable Cash Receipts to EMR system
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations in the Financial Accounting System.
- Prepares monthly reconciliations for other remaining cash accounts.
- Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts to the general ledger accurately each month.
- Prepares monthly grant-related reports.
- Prepares periodic income statement account analysis and reconciliation.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Assists in preparing for the audits.
- Serves as back-up in other financial department functions as cross-training permits.
- Maintains up-to-date W-9 documentation for all vendors, prepares and distributes 1099's to vendors each year as required by law, and prepares and files the 1096 return along with 1099's to the IRS.
- Maintains knowledge of EMR system in order to appropriately interface corresponding accounting functions.
- Assists with other accounting projects as assigned.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 LBs pounds with or without the use of assistive devices
Requirements
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years’ related experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience working with general ledgers and knowledge of accounting theory.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and organizing abilities.
- Prioritize work effectively.
- Willingness to accept supervision and continue professional development.
