We are currently seeking an experienced Bartender to round out our outstanding team of food and beverage professionals at our beautiful Isle of Capri located at Holiday Inn North Beach.
What You Will Bring To This Role:
To provide guests with the highest quality of service while preparing alcoholic drinks at the poolside seasonal bar and restaurant. Can handle high volume while bartending during the peak summer season. Know drink recipes along with blender drink receipts and be able to mix them quickly and accurately. The bartender is responsible for checking the identification of customers seated at the bar to ensure they meet the minimum drinking age. Take drink and food orders, serve drinks, collect money by properly ringing in each item and drink, and properly restocked the bar before and after shift. May be assigned other duties or projects according to the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors.
Some of Your Responsibilities Would Be:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non‐alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.
- Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
- Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes for each drink.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
- Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and dress code of assigned outlet.
- Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Keep bank secure at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Must be flexible and able to work weekends/holidays as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Good understanding of the English language
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Compute basic arithmetic.
- Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards
- Describe and recommend variety of alcoholic beverages to customers.
- Able to stand up to 8 hours in various weather conditions such as the hot summer heat.
- Able to take multiple guests' orders while preparing their drinks and correctly ringing in their order.
- Keep bar and work area clean during shift and responsible for maintaining serve safe standards.
- Basic Wine Knowledge
Candidates must be willing to work a varied schedule to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
