Admin Tech job responsibilities:
The Admin Tech is responsible for assisting consumers in applying for and/or confirmation of insurance benefits, Social Security Disability, Social Security Supplemental Income and Medicaid benefits. This position provides the consumer and/or family education related to benefits, assist the consumer in completing applications, and monitors the progress throughout the process. The Admin Tech acts as an advocate for the consumer, makes appropriate referrals for assistance in the appeals process and keeps the clinic staff aware of the consumer’s progress. They maintain accurate documentation and competency regarding latest benefit information. They also attend quarterly consortia meetings. Please indicate which location you are interested in.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Minimum or three (3) years’ experience in the field of work related to the duties of the position.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
· Knowledge of Social Security benefits and regulations.
· Knowledge of sign and symptoms of mental illness.
· Ability to communicate effectively
· Ability to work independently and respond to the changing needs of the consumers.
· Ability to use a computer and Windows software.
