Join our awesome team! Rhode Island Student Assistance Services (RISAS), a division of Coastline EAP, brings a 30 year history of providing school -based mental health promotion, substance use prevention, education and early intervention, case management and referral services to middle and high school youth in Rhode Island. We are currently serving 63 schools in 32 district and expanding into 9 new schools starting in the Fall of 2021. Our employees love their jobs-just ask them!. Turnover is exceptionally low.
Position Summary: To provide prevention, early identification, assessment, intervention and referral of substance misuse and mental health problems in school setting; to provide group services to children and teens who use substances, children of parents with substance use disorder and other vulnerable youth; to provide school-wide awareness and outreach activities to students and families.

Salary for Full-Time (5 days): $44,050 for academic year (180 days) PLUS additional 2% bonus in addition to $3500 sign on bonus..
Salary supplement for bi-lingual Skills $2500
Requirements
REQUIRED Qualifications:
Master’s degree in behavioral health specialty: Social Work, Counseling or Psychology-
A minimum of 1-2 years supervised counseling experience with teens
Knowledge of adolescent and child development
Knowledge of alcohol, marijuana, tobacco and other drugs
Ability to engage adolescents in individual, group and classroom sessions
Professional verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to exercise sound professional judgment.
Computer competence using Internet, Word, Excel,
Ability to learn electronic data collections systems required by funding sources
Preferred Qualifications:
Bi-lingual Skills (Spanish)
Experience with motivational interviewing (MI) and SBIRT (will train)
Public speaking
Competency with virtual platforms e.g. Zoom, Google classroom (will train)
