Payroll/Payables Specialist

Coates Field Service, Inc. is seeking an attention-to-detail, meticulous, and team-oriented Payroll/Payables Specialist. This full-time position will be in our Corporate Office in Oklahoma City, OK.  

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Payroll – Ensure field payroll is timely and accurately processed, monitor and resolve payroll tax issues, manage state statutory leave requirements, track and manage company PTO, responsible for maintaining accurate employee pay records in ADP and accounting systems. 
• Payables and Employee Expenses - Manage and execute the companies’ accounts payable function, ensure timely and correct payments, and oversee and manage the corporate credit card process. 
• Treasury functions – Assist in various Treasury functions such as positive pay stop-payments, and management of stale dated checks.  
• Work with the CFO and company managers to successfully implement a new ERP system.
• May perform other duties within the company as assigned by the CFO.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Knowledge of payment processing and receipt processing procedures.
• Prior payroll experience is required.
• Skill in using computer and application software for financial transactions.
• Skill in using common office machinery and equipment.
• Skill in mathematical computations used in accounting.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel.
• Knowledge of MS Dynamics Great Plains accounting software is a plus.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision accounting software is a plus. 
• Knowledge of ADP WorkForce Now.
