Requirements applicable for all Security Guards

  • Valid BSIS Guard Card
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliable

  • Punctual
  • Ethical decision making
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Clean Driving Record (3 Years) (Preferred)

Job Duties for Security Guards

  • Access Control : checking in / out product trucks (fruit trucks, tankers, shipping trucks)
  • Access Control : visibly monitoring walkway entrance for employee badges
  • Using a computer to log in / out trucks
  • Operating scale / weighing trucks
  • Filling out weigh tickets
  • Working with weigh masters
  • Signing contractors and visitors in / out
  • Signing equipment in / out
  • Sending emails
  • Operating and communicating by radio
  • Respond to and handle calls for service
  • Receiving mail / deliveries
  • Patrol around property perimeter
  • Submit reports of activity / lack of activity on site
  • Perform routine property maintenance audits
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

Minimum Requirements for Security Guards

  • Applicant must have a current BSIS Guard Card
  • As a condition of employment, applicants can be subject to a background check in accordance with all federal, state and local laws.

Those applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
