Manager, Enterprise Applications

Overview

We currently have an opening in our Manager, Enterprise Applications. This position drives the Cobb EMC Our Way culture for enterprise applications solutions.  Leads the functional configuration, implementation, and support of the corporation’s ERP environments. Works with the Director of Enterprise Applications in the development of best practices and standards for the department and cross functional teams throughout the business.  Develops procedures and processes for enterprise applications operations and oversees the company’s systems integration initiatives.  Maintains high levels of performance and reliability while supporting our users. Oversees user support for ERP applications.  Leads troubleshooting and testing efforts on both cloud and on-prem ERP environments. Provides oversight of Cobb EMC’s integrated Infor / Lawson Hybrid cloud environment.   

 

Skillsets include:

  • Expertise configuring & supporting Infor CloudSuite and/or Lawson S3 products (Any of the HR, Financials or Supply Chain modules).
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot workflows (Infor Process Automation or similar).
  • Experience supporting integrated systems – interfaces and workflows.
  • Expertise managing teams for support of integrated enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

NOTE: The following are major responsibilities of this position. They are not intended to cover each aspect of the position as the scope and duties may change or be temporarily altered based on the current business needs of the Corporation. The basic requirement of every position is to perform all tasks as assigned by the reporting authority.

 

Business Applications and Process Leadership:
  • Execute functions that correspond to the required skills listed above. 
  • Drive the planning, execution, deployment and support of the corporation’s ERP systems.
  • Manage the enterprise systems integration function.
  • Define, design and implement new solutions necessary for proper processing and distribution of data.
  • Modify and improve existing systems for optimal performance.
  • Assist in monitoring activity for compliance of Cobb EMC’s Cyber-Security Policy
  • Support virtual ERP system – Tier 2 support (monitoring alerts, responding to service tickets)
  • Ensure business requirements are met and validated with business stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes within the ERP.
  • Assist in the creation/maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure upgrades and maintenance releases are adequately tested and seamlessly integrated into the environment.
  • Design system specifications and analysis required to meet business needs.

Supervision:

  • Handle all aspects of employment for subordinate staff, including hiring, promotion, training, and termination.
  • Appropriately document actions on employment issues.
  • Coach and direct learning through direct involvement and reinforcement.
  • Analyze and supervise daily workload and schedules.
  • Monitor performance and conduct performance planning and review sessions.
  • Ensure fair and consistent treatment of departmental employees.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution in Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or related field.    

Minimum eight (8) years’ experience with:

  • Implementing and supporting business-critical enterprise applications.
  • Configuration and Support of ERP modules (any of  Financials, Supply, HR/Benefits, Payroll)
  • Working with clients and vendors to align technology and resources with business strategy and demands.
  • Partnering with vendors and contractors for ERP development and support
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Prior Supervisory Experience

Experience with multi-platform technologies, relational databases, application testing processes and project planning & execution.

 

SKILLS:

Proficient in the skillsets listed in the ‘Purpose of Position’ section above - specifically with Infor/Lawson systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to isolate, document and resolve application related problems. 

Experience  supporting integrated enterprise systems.

Experience with querying data for troubleshooting or reporting.

Expertise in analyzing, isolating & resolving ERP issues using industry standards and sound troubleshooting techniques.

Excellent change management capabilities to implement business process and system improvements.

Ability to supervise, lead, & manage resources and teams to deploy systems to an agreed upon project cost, scope & schedule.

Effective oral and written communication skills; interpersonal skills for interacting with various employees and groups.

Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, appropriately handle confidential information & work off hours/shifts as needed/required.

 

PREFERRED:

Previous utility industry experience.

Demonstrated public speaking and presentation skills.

Experience with Infor Data Replication Sets and Spreadsheet designer for queries / uploads. 

Certifications – Infor/Lawson or related *Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems, implementation,  operations, and support. *Knowledge of advanced principles and techniques of systems analysis, design, and documentation.
