Steel Yard Forklift Operator

Our company is seeking qualified persons capable of performing general labor tasks in a steel fabrication shop environment. Must be motivated and willing to learn.

• Must be able to lift 80lbs
• Must have forklift experience
• Must have own transportation
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed
• Must past drug screening test

Responsibilities:

CII is looking for experienced Shipping and Loading Specialists to perform loading and unloading of structural steel, and steel materials on flatbed tractor trailers. Candidate must have the skills and ability to operate a yard tractor to use for loading and unloading of materials on 48’ flatbed trailers and must be able to safely operate a boom (lull) lift and forklift. Candidate responsibilities will include accounting for all parts and materials which need to be loaded and securing each shipment for transportation.

Must be reliable and have good time management skills.

Salary: $17 – $20 per hour based on experience

Job Skills & Responsibilities:

• Load and Secure Materials from load lists onto company Tractor/Trailers
• Unload stock materials and stage to storage areas
• Comply with (DOT) regulations
• Maintain a safe and professional work ethic
• 5 to 6 Day Work Week
• Competitive pay based on experience

Qualifications needed:

· Valid Class "A" License (CDL) not required but is a plus

· Fork lift safety training not required prior to employment, but is a plus

· Clean MVR

· 2 Years prior similar experience

· Valid Driver’s License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
