CDL Driver

Cocreham Brick & Stone Inc. specializes in new and antique brick for both residential and commercial applications throughout the Greater Baton Rouge and surrounding area.

We currently have an immediate opening for an experienced CDL Driver to join our growing team. The CDL Driver is responsible for making deliveries of product to customers in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.   

Principle Responsibilities:

·       Deliver product to customers in a friendly, professional, and timely manner

·       Operate boom or truck mounted forklift to load/unload product

·       Inspect product prior to loading for accuracy to delivery ticket description

·       Maintain deliver schedule and coordinate activities daily with dispatch team

·       Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance; may lift over 50 pounds with or without assistance

·       Ability to perform tasks that require prolonged sitting, standing, reaching, climbing, lifting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties

·       Inspect delivery vehicle daily, ensuring the safety and security of the equipment and product during the full delivery process

·       Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations

·       Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·       Previous CDL driving experience required

·       Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement

·       Clear driving record

·       Valid DOT medical certificate

·       Punctuality, attendance, and dependability is essential in this role.

·       Excellent communication and organization skills

·       Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

·       Ability to work as part of a team

·       Ability to accept and follow direction as provided by manager
