What are the responsibilities and job description for the Label Technician position at CODES?
CODES in Carrollton is seeking to hire a Label Tech within the Packaging department. The Label Tech will be responsible for the creation, editing, proofing, and printing of packaging labels based on compliance standards. Candidates should have precise attention to detail, excellent attendance, and a team player mindset.
Shifts to start will be M-F, 7:30 am- 4:00 pm.
Once fully staffed, shifts may change to Wednesday - SaturdayOR Sunday-Wednesday.
Shifts may change dependent on Company needs.
Essential Functions
- Create label designs for all products and packaging.
- Prep, Proof and edit all packaging artwork files.
- Maintain and build a packaging file library of all artwork files.
- Copywrite and proof-read all artwork files for 100% accuracy.
- Successfully executes a large volume of revisions to an asset with minimal oversight.
- Prioritize projects and workload for all team members, to meet critical deadlines.
- Work on multiple assets from packaging to marketing collateral.
- Steward the visual identity, typography, palette, photography, and principal design systems of the brand; evolving where necessary.
- Ensure all designs are compliant and will pass state approvals.
Basic Qualifications
- Understands and speaks print language, colors, and finishes.
- Familiarity with design software and technologies.
- Ability to handle multiple projects & tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented mind set with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability.
- Available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Desired Qualifications
Graphic design experience, strong portfolio of illustrations/other graphics, and experience with packaging design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience within a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience with graphic and packaging design
- Knowledge of the Cannabis industry
