Pharmacy Technician

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality pharmaceutical care to patients. This position is based in a hospital pharmacy setting and requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, critical care, and patient service.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies
- Maintain accurate patient records and profiles
- Process medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare sterile products using aseptic technique, including IV infusions
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of drug names, dosages, and classifications
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Familiarity with medication administration routes and techniques
- Understanding of hospital pharmacy workflow and regulations

Requirements:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required
