Job Description:
As a Data Engineer – IT, Integration, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless data integration across various systems and platforms within the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient data flow and maintain the integrity and reliability of our IT tools.
Specific Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Data Architects to understand and implement data integration requirements and strategies.
Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions that align with organizational goals and architectural standards.
Gather integration requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
Engage in data mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
Identify and resolve data integration issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
Document data integration processes, including system configurations, mappings, and transformations.
Support testing activities related to data integration, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to data integration and contribute ideas for process improvement and innovation.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; a master’s degree and/or relevant certifications preferred.
4 years of experience in information technology with a focus on data integration.
Basic understanding of data structures, databases, and SQL.
Familiarity with integration technologies and tools (ETL tools, APIs, and scripting languages).
Proven experience with Azure cloud services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
Proficiency with ETL/ELT processes in Databricks, including Medallion architecture, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Sharing, and Delta Live Tables.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse.
Expertise in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and PySpark.
Comfortable with Agile Scrum methodologies in a fast-paced environment using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
