Our client located in the Dallas, TX area is looking for a Senior SnapLogic Software Engineer with strong SnapLogic, Java & ETL background to join their team. They are looking to engage this individual on a 6-month contract to hire basis. This Senior Software Engineer in ETL/Integration & Java space to deliver scalable cloud-based solutions for business-critical applications as part of an agile, full stack software engineering team.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Implement best practices in code quality, DevOps provisioning, monitoring, and security
- Develop Snap pipelines, integrate with microservices and asynchronous processes
- Leverage AWS cloud services
- Collaborate with a team of engineers, designers, product managers and researchers to refine and build products
- Implement platform improvements
- Define, scope and estimate user stories
- Mentor junior engineers and interns
The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
- Experience with Sanplogic, ETL tool, Kafka, SQS, Java /J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST, JSON, and Micro Services required.
- Good understanding of AWS services RDS, S3, ECS and Lambda.Education - degree strongly preferred
- Need hands-on experience with Snaplogic and Snowflake
- Ability to design, develop and implement scalable business critical applications
- Use technical knowledge to identify areas to improve and optimize ETL model
- Provide flexible solutions to complex business problems using our technology practices.
- Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming, REST or GraphQL interfaces
- Develop working knowledge of business workflows and systems used to provide ad hoc support to technology and business teams for day-to-day business operations where required
- Experience with AWS cloud services, esp. RDS, S3, ECS, and Lambda.
- Working knowledge of queuing and asynchronous processing
- Comfort with Agile/Scrum software development cycles
