Director of Campus Life
Coe College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Campus Life. The Director of
Campus Life will provide oversight for student organizations, advising (including Student Senate and Greek life) and activity programming, in partnership with the Assistant Director of Campus Life. This position will also oversee parent programs, and will partner with the Office of Success and Persistence to support orientation and the transition of the first year experience for students. These duties are the heart of student life for Coe students, and works closely with the Dean to use an educational approach when supporting students in their co-curricular interests.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Assistant Director of Campus Life.
- Coordinate and implement campus-wide programming in partnership with other departments, including but not limited to Flunk Day, Family Weekend, Welcome Week, Late Night Breakfast, Sundaes on Monday, etc.
- Oversee and advise student organizations (including Greek organizations) with Assistant Director of Campus Life.
- Coordinate and implement leadership programming on campus including the annual leadership awards and convocation.
- Supervise student workers and Information Desk / Box Office program.
- Attend Student Life team meetings and work directly with the other team members on committees as assigned.
- Serve as a hearing officer through the conduct system.
- Serve on the secondary/back-up on-call rotation crisis response team approximately one week a month.
- Complete other tasks as requested by the Dean.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in student personnel, counseling or related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- Two to three years of progressive experience at a residential, liberal arts college.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States as visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
- Successful completion of a background and driver check in accordance with Coe College policy.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- General office setting.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Frequent late or weekend hours are expected and/or required.
- Driving Coe vehicles as required.
