Bagel Brands is currently searching for a Human Resources Business Partner to support our Einstein Bros. Bagels and Noah's NY Bagels shops in the west coast territory covering CA, OR, WA, AZ, and TX. This is a hands-on role that is accountable for executing HR initiatives, providing great internal service-oriented support, driving HR functional excellence and process improvements.

This position is a remote position based in Arizona or Colorado. Travel will be required within the territory to tour districts, attend meetings, and provide in-person support as required by the business. We are targeting $80,000-$110,000 base salary with annual 15% bonus potential.

Position Mission:

Provides HR advice, guidance and support relating to performance management, compensation, benefits, employee relations and communications. This position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees so they're able to set up every guest for a brighter day.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
  • Functions as key HR strategic business partner with Company leadership team to execute critical business and organizational strategies including organizational design, succession planning, talent management, goal alignment, employee engagement and communications

  • Works to ensure we have quality talent in the right positions, focusing on GM and TM retention and succession planning, to drive our key people KPIs.

  • Be a credible coach and confidante to the Company leadership team, as well as a strong employee advocate

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance

  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation

  • Works independently to conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Provides documentation to support findings. And provides direction to leadership based on those findings

  • Builds and maintains a positive and respected working relationship with all levels of employees and maintains professional discretion and confidentiality.

  • Oversees or conducts research of local market rates for positions to assess relationship to organization compensation plan, determining if and where pay adjustments should be made

  • Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with other Human Resources staff to exchange information and provide ongoing support and problem resolution

  • Analyzes trends within each region in turnover, hiring, promotions, separations, and grievances to determine support or action needed to adjust unfavorable trends

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while remaining orientated on results

Required Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience, or a combination of education and experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a HRBP in Fast casual, restaurant, retail and/or hospitality.

  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.) highly preferred

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including performance management, compensation practices, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, and federal and state respective employment laws.

  • Must be in possession of a current, valid, state issued driver's license and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy

  • Ability to travel 20%, as business requires

Compensation Range:

: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 (depending on experience and location)
