POSITION TITLE: Security Officer DEPARTMENT: Security NATURE OF POSITION:
Extensive knowledge of fire prevention, safety, and security operations.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with use of computer and mobile device applications to include Microsoft related software.
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Security
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
(High School Diploma or Equivalent is required for all Security positions
(ARMED Security) associate degree in criminal justice and or another related field preferred.
(A combination of working experience and professional related certifications may substitute degree requirements)
Training, experience and or certification in healthcare safety, security and or law enforcement is preferred.
Must have or be able to obtain Oklahoma Licensing as a private security officer.
Oklahoma Driver's License is required if operating a vehicle on any CO FMC property.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates and carries out emergency drill protocols, safety, and security operations of the organization.
Works closely with other departments to assure the safety of property, assets, and people in the organization.
Knows and Studies disaster and/or crisis preparedness plans and protocols.
Checks security related systems such as doors, alarm systems, camera systems and door access controls.
Coordinates with local law enforcement and safety staff as required to support and/or conduct investigations and prosecutions.
Conducts inspections to identify fire, safety, and security risks; recommends and implements solutions pursuant to the EOC quarterly walkthrough inspection duties and schedule.
Drafts and submits reports, quotes and work orders related to fire, safety, and security operations.
Performs other related duties as requested and or assigned by the Director of Security

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections.
Ability to travel to various facilities located in other counties as needed.
