Chief R2 Architect 1

Qualification:
Bachelors/Masters in Engineering or equivalent

Responsibility:
NFR & SLx Management:
Manage the NFR and SLx across the lifecycle and report tracelability.

Enterprise Architecture:
  • Create Resiliency design patterns applicable to the enterprise architecture landscape considering the technology stack, solution design, infrastructure, cloud solution, data architecture etc.
  • Develop Observability solution and infuse elements of observability into enterprise architecture through configuration or scaffolding patterns during development.
  • Create bespoke AI solutions to reduce MTTR as part of the enterprise architecture solution.
  • Bolster cloud migration strategies with resiliency constructs and site reliability levers.
  • Optimize Enterprise architecture for optimal capacity on prem and efficient utlization on cloud to reduce the IT expenditure.
  • Infuse automation into configuration management for a stable, predictable and reliable architecture.
  • Conduct Fault Vulnerability Analysis to identify lapses in the Enterprise Architecture in addressing business reslience and provide solutions.
Continuous improvement:
  • Develop reusable solutions and frameworks for resilience & reliability improvements.
Monitoring & Observability:
  • Drive automation and AI based solutions for observability.
Knowledge Management:
  • Review and approve enablement contents and plan for enablement programs across project team and community.
Market Research:
  • Participate in internal/external forums to socialize the Cognizant capabilities in R2 engineering/SRE space.
Thought Leadership:
  • Conduct hackathons to collate ideas from community members to drive innovation and solutions.
  • Publish white papers and PoVs on emerging trends and technologies.
  • Participate in external conferences to present Resilience and Reliability PoVs.
Client Advocacy:
  • Interact with the client to understand the customer pain points in collaboration with the Product Manager.
  • Identify solutions, tools & frameworks to address the pain points and seek inputs from the client based on market needs and industry demands*.
Provide inputs to the key stakeholders to create pointofview and roadmap to transformation.

Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap:
  • Helping clients to define product / platform strategy and roadmap for SRE or other R2 Solutions.
  • Drive the engagement for clients by interacting with their customers, understanding requirements, partnering with the client to identify the evaluation criteria to be used for any product selection.
Provide recommendations to the client on tools, technologies for deployment on the basis of features, cost, performance etc.

  • Advise on ecosystem (including product partners, platform, tools, technology, etc).
  • Benchmark customer capabilities for their marketplace and provide inputs on business operating model reengineering.
Documentation:
  • Identify training demands and preapre plan to deliver training to upskill.
Process Improvements and Adherence:
  • Contribute to service improvements based on the market demands and customer needs.
People management:
  • Delivery governance of the team.
  • Supporting internal/external interviews.
  • Mentor community members.
  • Assist CM in Supply management.
  • Keep team motivated.
  • Understand people issues and handle compassionately.
  • Recognize and appreciate talent by referring to the communtiy R&R programs.
