Oracle Apps DBA

Location: New York, NY

Position Title: Oracle APPS DBA

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Implementation of cloud OBIA/OAC on cloud Exadata Service. This will be a replacement of on-premise OBIA / Oracle 12c database.
• Implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud to replace on-premise Peoplesoft HRMS.
• Migration of on-premise SQL Server Employee Data Warehouse and reporting system to Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
• The DBA will create configure and administer databases to support implementation

Required Skills:

• Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM) Domain Skills
• Industrial Manufacturing Manufacturing Oper-Manlog
• Solid Experience with Shell and SQL scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience administering SQL Server on Windows Platform or Oracle Real Application Cluster on Linux Platform
• Ability to quickly diagnose problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds
• Strong time management skills with willingness and ability to handle multiple projects/initiatives at the same time
• Self-motivated with strong team interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience 5 to 9 yrs

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $86,960/YR – $115,00/YR depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
