As a Technical Writer Senior Associate at Cognizant TriZetto, you will be responsible for designing, writing, and editing documentation to help customers understand and effectively use Cognizant TriZetto products. The documentation encompasses wiki topics, help topics, and videos, as well as traditional documents.

Job Title: Technical Writer Senior Associate

Role: Individual Contributor (Mid Level)

Essential Functions:

·       Work with software engineers, quality assurance engineers, product management, and product/solution owners to determine information clients need to know about the product. The writer should be comfortable with both technical and non-technical (or business-related) aspects of the product.

·       Write and edit documentation describing new product features for end users and/or technical users.

·       Edit documentation describing defect fixes, based on a standard template.

·       Conduct reviews with various stakeholders to ensure accuracy of content.

·       Conduct peer reviews with the writing team to ensure consistency and quality of the documentation.

·       Respond to client comments received from Product Support website or other avenues.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience:

·       3-5 years of experience writing and editing software documentation. Healthcare experience preferred.

Desired Experience:

·       Experience working in an Agile software development environment.

·       Experience prioritizing multiple deliverables and deadlines.

·       Experience supporting multiple development teams.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Strong organizational and prioritization skills and demonstrated attention to detail.

·       Comfortable and competent at engaging remotely (via videoconference) with diverse teams.

·       Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts and procedures in a way that can be understood by a diverse group of end-users.

·       Independent and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       A creative and objective-oriented focus.

·       Comfortable with writing technical product documentation.

Technical Competencies:

·       Experience using authoring tools such as Atlassian Confluence and standard word processing tools such as Microsoft Word.

·       Experience with web-based source content.

·       Experience with video editing software.

·       Experience with the following is a plus:

o   Source control applications

o   Adobe Acrobat

o   Help systems

o   OpenAPI documentation

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $90K-$113K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
