IT Infrastructure SRE – Hybrid model / onsite in Palo Alto, CA
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the reliability and performance of our IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to our systems and applications.
- Automate processes and tasks to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and solutions.
- Ensure that our infrastructure is secure and compliant with industry regulations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for our infrastructure and processes.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience as an IT Infrastructure SRE or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix operating systems, networking, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with automation and scripting tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Bash, Python).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
Salary and Benefits:
- Applications will be accepted until 6/22/2024. The Base annual salary for this position is between $105-140k yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
