Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking for “DevOps Architect “; who could join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. Role: DevOps Architect
Work experience required: 9 – 12 years
Skill set: DevOps Tools, CI-CD Pipelines, Jenkins, Cloud Technologies (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), Windows & Linux Admin, Python, Flyway, Databricks, ADF.
Must have skill:
- Strong DevOps and Infrastructure as Code experience
- Excellent flair of communication, as the role will involve multiple Customer Facing Engagements and requirement to talk through use-cases, demos etc.
- Experience of Agile Methodologies
- Prior working experience with internal teams (Sales/Pre-Sales), towards RFI/RFP creation and deal-closures
- Expertise in Version Control tools like Git, Bitbucket etc.
- Knowledge on Artifact Repository tools like JFrog, Nexus
- Expertise in Build tools like Jenkins, Bamboo (any one mandatory) to build re-usable release pipelines, release and configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible platforms (any one mandatory - preferably Ansible)
- Excellent hands-on knowledge on Jira platform
- Scripting Skills: Strong scripting knowledge of Groovy and Automation Skills
- Strong expertise in Cloud Technologies like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud (any one mandatory)
- Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools
- Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g., Python, Shell PowerShell - any one mandatory) and Automation skills like CMDB discovery mechanisms
- Experience DB DevOps using Flyway- Jenkins
- Expertise with Databricks and ADF deployment automations
- Basic knowledge about Microservices Architecture
- EKS, Kubernetes, Helm (added advantage)
Good to have:
- Understanding of EKS, Kubernetes, Helm.
- Experience in project & resource management.
Responsibilities:
- DevOps Platform Engineering & Implementation - Build and deliver DevOps CI-CD Pipelines for different projects using Flyway, ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Python, React Web.
- DevOps Advisory & Consulting - Assess & Strategize DevOps-XENA adoption, Assess Current DevOps Maturity and Identify GAPs and DevSecOps Solution Recommendations based on identified GAPs and current state maturity.
- Support and maintenance of DevOps platform and existing JPM Pipelines.
- Lead the team technically to ensure seamless delivery of projects to the business
- Prepare, maintain, track and report on the plan on weekly basis
- Assess, Identify, Mitigate the risks & issues
- Provide weekly highlights & accomplishments to both Cognizant and Customer Leadership
- Provide technical oversight, work with Business on priority activities
- Ensure that the requirements of a project are adequately documented and approved
- Actively manage the execution of the project, including assigning tasks to project staff, managing project scope, schedule, and finances, and ensuring the quality of deliverables
- Assume the role of First- Point-of-Contact for all project related matters.
