Salesforce Release Manager with strong knowledge of Salesforce.com developer toolkit including Force.com IDE, Migration Tool and extensive experience with one or more source code repositories such as Github, AutoRabit etc.
Strong understanding of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and force.com platform functionality.
Working experience with Salesforce Release Management activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan the release of project deliverables and release life cycle.
- Good hands on experience in MS products Communicate Release plans changes risks proactivity with stakeholders.
- Proactively identity the code conflicts and takes initiate to pull teams together to resolve the code deployment conflicts, Drive GoNoGo meetings to obtain signify from stakeholders business for Release Implementation
- Manage and maintain the SFDC environments involving migrating code between environments and helping in coordination for resolving issues related to code conflicts.
- Coordinate with the release engineers in order to understand the consequences of code merges and branches.
- Maintain the inventory of the components as per the release schedule, highlighting the overlapping components across releases.
- Work with developers to co-ordinate resolution of merge conflicts, deployment errors and meet code coverage criteria
- Track release metrics to drive improvement and report successes/failures to stakeholders
- Provide oversight for deployment of releases into production environments through ensuring release
Qualifications
- Knowledge of release management practices.
- Proven experience with project schedules, timelines, and managing project risk
- Progressive knowledge in the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience; 8 year’s relevant experience required.
- Education/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline. Salesforce Admin and Platform Developer 1 certifications would also be an advantage.
- Specialized knowledge/experience; Knowledge of DevOps methodology and Salesforce DevOps implementation tools like AutoRabit, Copado, Flosum will be an added plus.
- Abilities/Skills; Knowledge and experience with formal delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall & Hybrid). Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization.
- Technical Requirements; Experience with MS products. Should be proficient in Salesforce Apex, Triggers, and lightning. Working experience in source code repositories and Salesforce DevOps tools
