Role Overview
The ideal candidate should possess Level A certification in Wastewater treatment or have the ability to upgrade their Certification. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing and implementing robust EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a safety-oriented culture within our organization.
Key Responsibilities Include
Proactive approach to process development and maintenance to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as ISO 14001 requirements.
Experience in identifying and leading Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities, including accurate and complete reporting of metrics and managing interfaces with governmental authorities.
Ability to provide technical and tactical support to plant leadership to ensure safe, healthy, secure, and environmentally sustainable operations.
Track record of championing and leading projects to drive improvements in "Zero Incident Safety Culture" programs and enhance team member engagement.
Proficiency in facilitating risk assessments to identify critical EHS hazards and establish targets and objectives based on key risks.
Collaboration with functional support/engineering teams to ensure plant projects, changes, upgrades, and modifications comply with State and Federal Regulations.
Experience in reviewing plant environmental permits, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, maintaining required documentation, and submitting regulatory reports.
Supervisory experience in managing EHS staff.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into manufacturing processes, equipment design, and facility layout.
Competency in investigating incidents, near misses, and safety concerns to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Openness to perform other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications & Education
Minimum 3 years of experience as an EHS Supervisor in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field; advanced degree or certification is advantageous.
Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations and consensus standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, Workers' Compensation), inspection procedures, audits, hazard reviews, incident prevention, and incident investigation techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in computer usage, including MS Office products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Compensation: Up to $75,000 base (DOE)
