Electrical Procurement Expeditor

Our client is a leading civil engineering firm specializing in large-scale civil engineering projects. They are a team of passionate and experienced professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Expeditor to join their fantastic company.
The Electrical Procurement Expeditor will be responsible for expediting the procurement process for all electrical commodities required for their civil engineering projects. In this role, you will be ensuring timely delivery of materials to keep projects on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor purchase orders for electrical components, including wire, transformers, switchgear, conduit, and other related materials.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to track order status, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to expedite deliveries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all electrical procurement activities, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and communication logs.
- Research and identify alternative sources for electrical materials in case of supplier issues or price discrepancies.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and buyers, to ensure clear communication and alignment on electrical procurement needs.
- Assist with the resolution of procurement discrepancies or problems with electrical materials.
- Stay informed of industry trends and developments related to electrical materials and procurement best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or expediting, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven experience working with electrical components and materials.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, including purchase orders, expediting techniques, and communication protocols.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with procurement software is a plus.
