What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Manager position at Cogs?
Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 base salary DOE plus bonus and RSUs.
Work Setting: 3 days on-site (Nashville, TN), 2 days WFH.
COGS' client are a multi billion company within the Energy industry and they are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who would be responsible for the overall delivery of projects within the organization. This includes collaborating with the project team, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, and communicating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain, contract manufacturing, and a strong background within the EPC space. They will also have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Outline of position:
- Create schedules for parts and categories to be delivered to different regions.
- Handle supplier assignments based on schedules, prices, agreements, and stock levels.
- Analyze forecasts and demand for parts to secure supply commitments.
- Keep an eye on supplier capacities in regions and ensure shipments match assignments.
- Check POs against sales orders to match supply with demand until fulfilled.
- Analyze planned, shipped, and delivered orders for projects and find any gaps.
- Warn about potential supply shortages early and suggest solutions to avoid delays.
- Ensure suppliers deliver on time and projects meet their delivery schedules.
- Coordinate between Engineering, Sourcing, new product introduction, and Logistics.
- Attend meetings to raise planning issues and coordinate hand-offs during projects.
- Improve processes continually for better operations.
- Maintain the accuracy of supply chain planning data and manage its flow.
Ideal Candidate Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is highly preferred
- 10 years of experience in Project Management, Supply Chain, EPC and/or Contract Manufacturing
- Strong understanding of supply chain, contract manufacturing, and EPC operations
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and importantly, as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
