Shipping Technician TEMP

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Shipping/Inventory Control

1. Check ship calendar throughout the day/shift for new shipments and shipment updates
2. Gather parts for shipments, and verify inventory quantities before and after shipments
3. Check accuracy on part labels, verify the customer part numbers and company logos are up to date
4. Check quality on parts - ensure assembled parts are complete, chip parts are clean and in correct position in waffle packs, and coupon parts have correct ink-marking
5. Troubleshoot errors in WIP and Traceability
6. Communicate with planner and supervisor throughout the day/shift about shipments and new shipment priorities
7. Work with supervisor to prioritize ship dates based on lead times and available inventory
8. Manage workflow from the wafer scanning process to coring or dicing, painting, ink-marking, beveling, assembly, epoxy and packout ensure expedited shipments are prioritized correctly

Organize & Clean

1. Personal work area along with common areas are kept clean, neat and organized on a daily basis.   
2. Follow safety rules without violations.  Any safety concerns or issues are reported to supervisor.
3. Lead as a model for safe work area practices and supports others when issues arise.
4. Works with hazardous materials in accordance with department procedures.

Administrative

1. An ESGP is co-developed and pursued.
2. Department information systems, records, reports and metrics are accurate and generated on time
3. Company policy is followed regarding all safety, environmental and quality requirements.
4. Company Technology Control Plan, IP protection and Export Compliance requirements are understood and properly followed.
5. Relevant IT and Quality procedures are understood and properly executed.
6. Responsible for maintaining a quality work environment.
7. Maintains a positive attitude and is cooperative in working with others.
8. Adapts readily to changes in work caused by new requirements and/or situations.
9. A high standard of ethics, professionalism, competency, and quality is established and maintained.
10. Role model for Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction and Business Results.

Special Assignments

1. Attend all meetings and training as required.
2. Support special projects as required.
3. Report on projects and make recommendations to upper Management.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic reading and math skills

Skills

• Able to work in a demanding production environment involving multi-tasking, forward thinking, strong attention to detail and quality.
• Requires detailed observational and technical skills to ensure proper performance of product.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Responsible for high accuracy and organization. 
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural, team based environment
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Handle special assignments promptly and professionally

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
