A/R Specialist III

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor customer billing and submit invoices through proper channels
  2. Upload and process invoices in customer web portals
  3. Issue credit memos, adjustments and other transactions as needed
  4. Run customer statements and resolve disputes or billing questions
  5. Prepare, verify and post customer payments; tie out to bank activity
  6. Charge customer credit cards
  7. Monitor On-Time Delivery report
  8. Work with Revenue Accountant to identify customer shipments for accrual
  9. Work with Collections Team to resolve invoice and payment issues
  10. Run D&B credit reports for prospective customers
  11. Work with internal and external auditors to provide receivables-related support as requested
  12. Prepare custom invoices as needed
  13. Other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibility:   None.

Qualifications: 

  • Experience: Combined 3-5 years experience in both Accounts Receivable and Collections roles. Experience working for a global, multi-entity company a plus.
  • Education: Associate degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience required (in addition to AR/collections experience). 
  • Skills/Technical Requirements: ERP experience required. Intermediate-level Microsoft Office suite. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to independently anticipate, organize, prioritize, and manage multiple priorities.  Perform duties with a high degree of completeness, accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.

Job Conditions:  Office environment.

Physical Demands/Strengths:  Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods; use of computer, keyboard, and telephone. 

Protective Devices Required:  In required areas.
