What you’ll be doing :
Coinbase is looking for an experienced, driven, and forward-thinking Global Payroll Manager to be a key member of the Finance team. This role will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and support continued growth by improving process workflows through integrations and upgrading to the new systems. It’s an ideal position for a self-starter who is eager to contribute their expertise to a fast-growing company and is ready to adapt to change across a global company. The Global Payroll Manager will have the opportunity to leverage an excellent core knowledge of payroll for multiple US states as well as for Coinbase’s international offices.

- Has at least 7 years of experience in managing/processing multi state payroll, as well as at least 3 years of experience managing worldwide payroll processing (a plus).
- Have experience with or understanding of key payroll processes, both domestic and international.
- Has experience working in a fast-growing startup.

- Can communicate clearly and empathetically both face-to-face and in writing.Have helped scale a company's payroll globally

- Has experience working with Workday, ADP Workforce Now (proficient users preferred).
- Support System Integrations between HR and Global Payroll Systems including resolving missing information.
- Test new set up, system enhancements, system updates and integrations affecting Global Payroll
- Has experience with payroll compliance matters, such as tax withholding for international or multi-state jurisdictions, garnishments, and key annual audits (worker’s compensation and external financial audits).
- Work with internal team and vendors to ensure HR, Benefits and Payroll changes are processed, accurate funding occurs for all accounts, tax remittance, general ledger balancing, month-end close support is completed
- Has extremely high attention to detail as well as problem-solving skills.
Nice to haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or other related field
- Experience with G-Suite
- Experience with ADP Comprehensive and ADP Celergo a plus.
- Has experience working with NetSuite and Shareworks (not required, but a plus).
